Gothic Kaliedoscope 100% Silk Scarf (square)
100% silk twill scarf with a Gothic cathedral kaleidoscopic image.
I created this design from photos I took while touring The Cathedral of Barcelona. Of course, I had my phone out, taking pictures while trying to soak up all the sights and sounds. When I got home and looked through my photos I was reminded of the amazing geometric and organic elements of this Gothic masterpiece. The design that resulted from cutting, arranging and colorizing the photos is part of a series of images for textiles I am designing based on my personal travel photography of natural and man-made environments.
This design looks amazing in full view, but also drapes well and when worn in different ways, the overlapping elements create new interesting geometries and relationships.
